CANDLE LOVERS ONLY

There are two things we will always include in our budget, which is highly suggestive of our priorities and love – dog food and candles. We will always make sure our dogs (Jackson and Baker) have plenty of food for their cute doggy tummies, as well as candles spread throughout each room.

Treating ourselves to a candle *cough or ten cough* from T.J. Maxx has become a tradition. It was after taking our friend Ali with us on a regular Maxxinista run when we realized how visible our candle love shows.

As we described the importance of picking out the right candle scent based on the room, we heard Ali whisper, “I will never go candle shopping without you two again.” It’s easy to say our hearts melted while also feeling a sense of pride.

We always love picking up a good candle from T.J. Maxx but have explored candles made from small businesses over the past year. The scents are unique and made from true passion. Welcome to Salt & Shore Company

SALT & SHORE COMPANY

Our friend, Amanda Mathis, moved to Savannah, Georgia last year and expanded Salt & Shore Company. It offers more than candles, but the scents have captured the attention of our noses.  Each scent is thoughtfully selected and inspired by coastal charm and Lowcountry lifestyle, which is hand-poured in small batches. All of the candles are made with all-natural soy wax and contain no toxins, carcinogens, or pollutants, as well as eco-friendly candle wicks made from natural flat cotton and paper threads.

Our current favorite? Midnight Oaks. This candle gives us the masculine, relaxation scent perfect for our den. Its scent is of a woody, earthy mix of vanilla and sandalwood, warmed with musk and a touch of patchouli. This candle is perfect for a den or a study.

For Mother’s Day, we suggest the Splendid Savannah. With notes of cedar-wood and pine, this candle is tangled with hints of a fresh ocean breeze, apple, melon, and lavender. The combination pairs nicely with an oasis, such as a bathroom or guest room.

Since it is National Small Business Week, we jumped at the chance to share our favorite chandler. If y’all need your candle fix, you’ve got to check out Salt & Shore Company, because I Love That For You.

Side note: the Instagram is gorgeous.
